Throw Back Post of Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Well this week I am going to acknowledge a bit of a milestone for myself and Mr. Smith. We have officially been together for nine whole years as of Monday. We have experienced a few things together; college, marriage, building a house, building the Mazda, beginning careers and starting new ones with all kinds of fun times and hick-ups in between. I don't want to sound like that Facebook wife who is just soooo in love with her husband, but I do think some bragging rights should be tossed his way. In case you haven't figured it out I can be an emotional hot mess, you know changing careers....quarter life crisis and all.....and that is only this year;) Mr. Smith is usually pretty supportive of the decisions I make. He is also the first one to question them, to ensure I am making such decisions with a clearer perspective.

I have found a few photos to have a look back..........there are many more, but I will save you from that and post only a few.

Baby Sprout..... This was an interesting day. We took our new pup through the creek on the ranch, she got very tired and ended up laying down and refusing to go any farther.

Married!!!! June 2009. Yep, there it was, full on commitment!!!! One that I was very excited for. I have found myself welcomed into one incredible family!!!!! There are not enough words........ We had such a great time spending the evening with family and friends to celebrate life. We've had a get together every year since, however this past year we opted to work on the house. I hope we can all get together this next year.

Oh the beginning of the house build. I was checking out the plans......secretly wondering how the hell we were going to do this.....but also a bit mesmerized that we were able to build the outline of what I was looking at on paper.

The day we signed on the completion of the house! A photo I still get goosebumps from even though it was only a couple of months ago.

Trip to San Francisco this summer..... As many people have told me, along with what my upbringing has shown, I have some 'gypsy' in me. So with my need to have roots comes with a need to not be tied down. Trips have really fed my need to not be tied down. Thankfully Mr. Smith's job has given us the opportunity to visit many places and I look forward to many more.

So, why nine years? Why B, are you talking about nine and not waiting til ten? Because, I believe every year should be acknowledged, and we should look back so we can appreciate what is to come. I am so grateful for the friends and family that have been with us through the past nine. I really feel that we have surrounded ourselves with great people!!!!!

So, Mr. Smith, here is a cheers to the past nine, and to surviving the next one!!!! I know it will not always be easy, but I am sure it will be fun!!!!!
